Jody moved back to Charleston in 2004, determined to plant her roots and become involved in the community. When high school friend LuAnn McCants told her about Women Making a Difference, Jody was hooked on the giving circle concept.

“Early on, my parents taught me the responsibility of giving back- my time, talents, and resources. ‘Count your blessings’ was followed by ‘Share your blessings’. Women Making a Difference gives me the opportunity to share what I can, knowing that our collective donations will impact recipients on a much more fundamental level than my gift alone could ever hope to achieve.

This group defines a ‘we’ effort…the fulfillment of giving to others with others is indescribable.

Jody is a District Manager with Hot Topic, Inc, and covers the SC market. When not traveling with work, Jody can often be found on the road following another passion, live music.
