This group is excellent.  I know it is difficult to give this year as many people are dealing with these trying economic times, but Women Making a Difference is a nice way to make your dollars go a long way to many many different, excellent groups that support women and children in our area.

Women Making a Difference is a giving circle, a group of savvy women who band together to increase their giving power and provide grants to local initiatives that seek to enhance quality of life for women and children in Charleston, S.C.

Started in 2002 by three women of varying ages and backgrounds, Women Making a Difference strives to build a community of women philanthropists. Membership is open to all women.

Over the past five years, Women Making a Difference has generated more than $200,000 to fund local grants to local charities.
